Fahefa holds a noble history of stewardship and service under the title of Lord Ve‘ehala, whose family has guided the village for generations. The Fahefa Foundation continues to honor that heritage by supporting programs that strengthen community leadership, uphold traditional values, and expand opportunity for the people of Fahefa.
While the noble title remains within the Ve‘ehala line, the heart of the Foundation’s mission is carried by the extended family — those who have long served the community with humility, faith, and devotion to the land. Through collaboration with the youth, elders, and future leaders such as Siulolovao Chloe Vi, Viliami Leilua Vi, Kaimani Vulangi Charles Vi, Mele Simoa Va'asinoa Vi, Isileli Tupou Sunia Akaveka Vi, Anapesi Iloa-he-lotu Vi (aka Anna Imrie) and Tevita Ula Afuha'amango Vi (aka William DeBruce) the Foundation works to preserve the spirit of unity that defines Fahefa.
Our work reflects the Tongan principle of fe‘ofa‘aki — mutual love and respect — reminding us that true leadership is measured not by position, but by service to others.
“The strength of Fahefa lies in the hands that serve, not only the titles that lead.”
The Fahefa Foundation proudly recognizes Viliami Leilua Vi, the eldest son of Lord Ve‘ehala, as its Chairman of the Board. Guided by faith, humility, and vision, President Vi leads with a steadfast commitment to empowering the people of Fahefa and Tonga.
His leadership reflects strength rooted in family heritage and service, fostering unity between generations and communities. With a heart for sustainability and progress, President Vi continues to guide the Foundation’s mission of building health, education, and agricultural initiatives that nurture growth and hope for Tonga’s future.
“Future leadership, rooted in tradition.”
The Fahefa Foundation honors Kaimani Vulangi Charles Vi, the second son of Lord Ve‘ehala, as the Founder of the Fahefa Foundation and spearheading the ʻEua Agro-Health Initiative. Guided by his deep connection to the land and people of Tonga, Founder Vi’s vision bridges agriculture and health — transforming local farming into a pathway for sustainable community well-being.
Born and raised in Fahefa, Kaimani spent his early years living with Sela and Inoke Masila while attending Government Primary School (GPS) Fahefa. His childhood in the village instilled in him a lifelong love for the community, the land, and the values of hard work and service that continue to shape his leadership today.
Under his direction, the ʻEua Agro-Health Initiative empowers families through training, food production, and income generation, with every harvest contributing to the future Talatukumo‘ui Medical Center in Fahefa and 'Eua. His dedication ensures that the Foundation’s mission of “growing food, growing health, growing stability” flourishes across generations.
The Fahefa Foundation proudly recognizes Isileli Tupou Sunia Akaveka Vi, the third son of Lord Ve‘ehala, as its Ambassador, representing the People of Fahefa, Ha'utu and 'Eua, Tonga. Through his faith and active involvement in the Fahefa church community, Ambassador Vi embodies humility, cultural pride, and service.
His work bridges tradition and progress — uplifting youth, supporting the elderly, and strengthening the Foundation’s presence within the Tongan community in Fahefa & Ha'utu, Tonga and Hamilton, New Zealand. Ambassador Vi is actively involved with the Siasi Tonga Tau‘ataina in Ha‘utu, Tonga and the Siasi Tonga Tau‘ataina in Hamilton, New Zealand, where he also serves faithfully in the church choir and youth group.
With his leadership and voice, the Fahefa Foundation continues to inspire unity, faith, and hope across the Kingdom of Tonga and the Tongan diaspora.
Honoring the past, guiding the present, and empowering the future of Fahefa.
